Vinterliv 2025: Special event on Saturday, Jan. 18

Live the Swedish love of winter at this special event with free tastings and family activities.

Hot (actually, really cold) take: Winter is a gift. Sometimes, it can just be difficult to appreciate.

That's why, on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., we're hosting our annual Vinterliv event with a special skål from St. Peter's Paddlefish Brewing.

Scandinavia has made an art of loving winter--both inside and out--and we want to share all of that wisdom with you.

What’s happening?

We have a full day planned on Saturday, Jan. 18, with food, beverages, tips for creating warm and cozy spaces, a special deal from Paddlefish Brewing, and more!

Grab a Swedish wool blanket and warm up around our back patio bonfire while roasting a Swedish-inspired s'more and make the most of the clean winter air. Paddlefish Brewing is also brewing a special Scandinavian ale that they will sample at the shop in the afternoon too*.

Plus, if you bring your Swedish Kontur receipt to Paddlefish any time on Jan. 18, you will get a buy one, get one free pint!

Here's the schedule for the day:

• 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.:

  • Back patio bonfire with blankets, a Build Your Own Swedish-Inspired S'more bar

  • Get tips for creating warm and cozy indoor spaces the Swedish way

  • Enjoy puzzles and games, including a floor puzzle for littles

• 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.: Sample Paddlefish Brewing's Vinterliv Scandinavian Ale*
